What is the duration of the Alimiyat course?
The Alimiyat course is 4 years long.
- Total Duration: 4 years
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: No age limit
How is the Alimiyat course structured?
The course follows a semester-based system:
- 4 Years = 8 Semesters
- 1 Year = 2 Semesters
How is each semester organized?
- 1 Semester = 2 Terms (Marahil)
- 1 Term (Marhala) ≈ 3 months
- Each Term includes 3 subjects
How many subjects are taught per semester?
- 1 Semester = 6 Subjects (3 subjects × 2 terms)
What subjects are included?
Subjects include:
- Aqeedah (Islamic Creed)
- Seerah (Life of the Prophet ﷺ)
- Qur’an Tafseer (Explanation of the Qur’an)
- Hadith
- Tajweed (Rules of Qur’an Recitation)
- Hifdh (Memorization of Short Surahs)
- Duas (Supplications)
- And other essential Islamic studies subjects
Each semester includes a total of 6 subjects.
Are books and notes provided for Alimiyat course?
Yes.
- All books will be provided in PDF format (Urdu language) by Mahad Assalam.
- Printed books can also be purchased from Maktaba Mahad Assalam.
- Both Roman Urdu notes and Urdu notes will be shared.
- Students are encouraged to prepare their own notes.
- Any compiled PDF notes may be shared with the class monitors for student benefit.
What are the class timings and schedule for Alimiyat course?
Class Days:
- Monday to Thursday
Timings:
- For Women: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- For Men: 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Platform:
- Classes are conducted online via Zoom App.
Weekly Schedule:

- Anjuman (Student speeches/presentations)
- Urdu classes
Student Support System:
Each class is divided into groups. A Monitor (Taliba) is assigned to every group to:
- Provide full academic support
- Help resolve problems
- Clarify doubts
Are class recordings available for Alimiyat course?
Yes.
- All classes are recorded daily.
- The YouTube link of the recording is shared in the respective class group.
How are exams conducted for Alimiyat course?
- Exams are conducted online.
- Assessments are taken through Google Forms.
